that guy is sitting on a staff seat…the staff goes into the ground….he is sitting on a thin peice of metal…

the whole unit works well if people are just walking by…..

the elbow rest is actually too long to begin with, its nearly as high as the guys head when sitting…
an elbow rest is much shorter, about 1/2 the size of that supposed arm rest.

its a nice illusion….people have done other versions of this lately that are even harder to figure out…

potentially all sorts of new nano fibres used in composite types of matrix materials could be used to produce incredibly thin support…

the illusion depends on tension strength to some degree……the variations that push the envelope of using alot of tension strength, and making the support “seat” or similiar…literally going out on a limb..are the more incredible illusions
